At Connected Dog Training, puppy training is about helping your puppy learn how to successfully live in your world while giving you the tools to understand theirs.

More Than Obedience

Of course, we can teach skills like sit, stay, come, and walking on a leash.

But raising a great dog is about much more than commands.

We'll work on things like:

• Building confidence

• Healthy socialization

• Potty and crate training

• Puppy biting and chewing

• Leash walking

• Coming when called

• Settling and relaxing

• Handling excitement and frustration

• Exploring new environments

• Building communication between you and your puppy

Most importantly, we'll help your puppy learn that you are someone they can trust and look to for guidance.

Socialization Isn't Just Meeting Dogs

One of the biggest misconceptions about puppies is that socialization means meeting as many dogs and people as possible.

Good socialization is about helping your puppy experience the world safely and at their own pace.

We'll help your puppy explore new people, places, surfaces, sounds, animals, and environments while learning how to recognize when they need more space.

The goal isn't a puppy who loves everything.

It's a puppy who feels confident navigating the world.

You're Learning Too

My goal isn't to make you dependent on a dog trainer.

I want to teach you how to:

• Read your puppy's body language

• Recognize stress and overstimulation

• Reinforce behaviors you want to see again

• Meet your puppy's physical and emotional needs

• Prevent unwanted behaviors before they become habits

• Continue training between sessions
